Put the images url between the image tag.

If you need a host for the image, use something like imageshack.us or photobucket.com which are free and allow hotlinking. If your isp gives you web space to use, and allows hotlinking, that is another option.

If you have a picture on your computer, you have to host it somewhere on the internet.
You can do that quickly and easily at http://www.imageshack.us.
Then use the image tags to post it or link it here.

The image tags are turned off more or less. Or maybe it's just my PC where they always show up as hyperlinks.
Edit: Yup, there is a checkbox in the user control panel. I'm not sure how I missed it earlier.

You can also use 2and2.net (http://2and2.net/) for posting pictures.
Photo Bucket (http://www.photobucket.com/), unlike the other sites posted, requires registration, but it does have more options, and the registration is free.
