easier region search

has anyone noticed just how hard it is to search for a new region,
the only way you can find a new region is by
1. cycling through the majority of the pages
2. knowing the exact name of what you are looking for
things that could improve this are
1.page number jumper:
you have a little box which you can type the page
number in
2. a better search engine which allows for mistakes and uses keywords
another unrelated detail is that the "create thread" button on the bottom of the currant threads page is not working.

The search engine cannot be reworked with out a massive overhaul of the current game code (read: practically rewriting the whole thing). Your best bet is to go to the Gameplay forum.

which is why we don't have wars and trade
and as such it is left free
to the gameplay forum!!!

you could use the links that the number is in the url and then just change the number there
you could use the links that the number is in the url and then just change the number there
That is a really good idea! Only, if for some reason, you are like me, your url on NationStates is always: http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi
Now I am innovative, and I used the "Show this nation to a friend" link at the bottom of my nation's page to figure out the url for nations and regions, but I do not know the url for things like the Getting Help page or the url for your suggestion. Could anyone give me the url for the Getting Help page and for your suggestion, so I could change it like I have to do for nations and regions? Whatever works right? Thanks in advance.

If you hold down the shift key while clicking "List all Regions" link on THE WORLD page, you'll break the region pages out of the frameset. Then you can manipulate the URL with merry ease.

All that did for me was bring up the Save as... screen.
Well it works for me. Thanks a lot Frisbeeteria.
