Dear Nation States Providers

I am asking you to make out of control Income Rates more aplicable to the game because some of the Nations income Taxes are 100% and it is to far from reality that a country could survive at that tax rate. I'm not saying that you should iliminate countries because their Income rates are to high I'm just saying there should some warnings to the people who let their Income rates go out of control and some more effective penalties for having such high rates. And I like the fact about how you get (rewarded) for having a large Population.

making your people suffer is one of the points of being able to play this game.

There are lots of issues where pretty much ever choice makes your tax rate go up so there's not a lot that can be done about this.

58% and Good by the way.

Er... you know, you can just DISMISS the issue?
I do that about half of the time.

The two aren't necessarily connected. I have 0% tax and 'Frightening' and my chief ally has 100% and Frightening.

What's the fun in dismissing issues? I just meant that most people seem to add in 'oh and taxes go up too' to every single choice.

My biggest problem with getting tax rate low is everytme some sappy happy lile UN resolution passes it bumps my tax rate up.
and Personally I dont see why the UN even affects my taxes.
I had it down to around 50% at one point then like 5 resolutins passed and had it back at 100.

Because certain UN Resolutions demand more government spending.

The true question is how one can have "a powerhouse of a private sector" (or even any private sector) and a 100% income tax rate, as 1 Infinite Loop does.

As for how to control income taxes, as everyone's already said, dismiss issues. Dismiss more issues. When an issue has a "cut taxes" option, take that, otherwise, usually dismiss. Of course, often the tax cuts have nasty effects on your description page. You could also just let it spiral out of control, but throw a bone to private enterprise every once in a while to keep your economy up. My economy jumped up three categories once when I did that, with the tiniest of tax cuts accompanying it. I don't know how it works either.

Of course, I've bloated this nation's taxes up to 90%, so who am I to advise here? *goes off to raise taxes even further*

Tax rate has little to do with economy, per se. Your industry has more to do with your economy, as well as your Income Average.

91% tax frightening economy here... though I'd like to see what happans now that I've resigned from the UN

and there will always be some contradictions and such in the nation description, because that's just how the game is built... non-perfect
