I've noticed at certain times (assume peek times) that my dossier does not load all the time, or takes a long time to. Is this so that the game does not bog down, or is my (that nation's) dossier just too big?

How many nations do you have in your dossier? I saw salusa say somewhere it wasn't meant for a lot of nations...

There is no coded limit, but it isn't designed to handle that many.

The two nations in question has about 20 pages of nations (just under 300 nations, but I remember when it was closer to 54 pages, and I had no problem then). The third one, only has two pages. It must have been just the time of the day.

I have the same problem, but I only have 6 nations in my dossier. I think the server slows down for 90%, when America wakes up. It is always at the same time. When the yankees are sleeping, the game works perfectly.

The rest of the game at the time was working fine, so I had assumed that the dossier function was given a lower priority when the system bogs down. It's rare that regions or other pages don't load. I've had nation pages not load when I want them to, too. I try to do much of my heavy work when it is night in America, but sometimes this can't be helped. This use to be a pain when I was doing mass endorsements in The Pacific, but this too was done at night to counter that problem.

When several users from any country all sign on at once, then obviously the server will get some lag. Remember, that as we are being hosted by Jolt, it's more than likely anyone from Jolt, not just NS users.

So although this probably has something to do with the dossier not loading, I suspect it's due to the huge amount of nations you have stored there, the dossier CAN hold 100's of nations, but isn't designed to. Everytime you click on the dossier link, it needs to access every nation in the dossier and arrange them. If your using a slower modem such as a 56k modem, or on a network, then this can take even longer.

My suggestion to you, is to remove as many non-essential nations from your dossier as possible.

I'm a Yankee, and I'm on at all hours of the day, and I have never experienced this problem before. Interesting though...

I live in the same timezone as California, which is three hours behind the East Coast. Normally when I'm on (Daytime) seems to be peek time for the game. List all nations slows too.

When I'm on early in the morning my time or late at night, things are fine. Must be the lines between here and there.
