Getting back a lost nation...

One of the more important nations of mine recently ceased to exist because I went on vacation and like an idiot forgot to put the vacation mode on. The nation was called Kazzraddistan. If there's some way I can possibly get it restored, I'd be very appreciative. If not, don't worry about it.

yes file a request on the getting help page for this
supply the nation name and that it is one you wish to reserect
it should go under other/responce to mod
then just wait and try to log in later it may take a little bit for them to do though

Getting Help page link follows;
http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/39541/page=help
Also, can't find the thread at the mo', but Melkor Unchained has stated it doesn't really matter what category it goes in, it all goes to the same tasklist. Though, it's still good practice to put it in Other: Reponse to moderator as RTW said.

The link was definitely a good idea, Neo, but do not include the PIN number in the link. It may accidentally let someone access a nation that is not theirs.

Ahh crud, I know, I know. This is just another one of the problems I've been getting with my stupid browser and whatnot, that I failed to notice this time.
Usually I don't put it in, leave it in etc, it's usually just not there anyway.

Don't worry about it. Chances are, with 100,000 possibilities, that particular number won't appear too often.

Actually.... Does the pin number really matter? I don't think I could access Neo's nation unless he had logged in on my computer. If I try the link, I just get the page without a sidebar.
Here comes my lack of technical knowledge. :P
Doesn't the browser send a cookie that is.... connected to the pin number? But if you don't have that cookie the pin number is basically useless, right?

The PIN isn't a security ID (SID), it's designed to fool proxy servers into refreshing the page. While I routinely remove it, I don't think it will give you access to anyone's account. You may not get a fully refreshed page, though.
BTW, this (s = 83d05679193e10f67daf4de4dd722c04) is a SID. A five digit numeric doesn't give much protection.

It doesn't. I always leave it in, because I'm too lazy to remove it. I've IMed myself links from within the NS mainpage with the "pin" number in it to other computers with different IP addresses, and it always just brings you to the page as a logged-out nation, not as a logged-in nation corresponding to that number.

This is completely correct.
