Proposals in the UN - ordering them
Would it be possible to order the proposals in the UN either by the name of the nation that proposed them, or by the name of the proposal?
I am trying to find a specific proposal, and I have to search through each of the pages to find it, rather than being able to guess where it is and then move one page forward or backward.
This is all complicated by a somewhat slow connection, which is making it very slow going.
Is it possible to order them?

There is a "Find a Proposal" search box and button at the bottom of each page in the List Proposals view. Any portion of the name will be found, though if you search for Repeal "Abortion Rights" you'll only see the first one listed.

It would be very nice to have multiple ways of searching through the UN proposals, kind of like how eBay lists things by lowest price, highest price, soonest auction closing, etc. I just think it would be a possible nice addition.

It might also make it easier for the mods to find duplicate proposals if the search came up with more than one result.

I concur; the biggest problem with the over-zealous nature of those submitting Repeal "Fight the Axis of Evil" was that only the one ending the soonest showed up.

If a change is going to be made to how we search for proposals, two ideas I'm fond of, via drop box options:
- Number of endorsements
- Resolution Category (a filtered list)
We already have the list filtered by time left, but the number of endorsements might help out proposals that already have some base support.
Filtering on category means delegates could just continutally scan for whatever strikes their fancy.

All that's a good idea, but what I'd like to see is a more general search function, like if you can't exactly remember the title of the proposal you're looking for.
Oh, Iv'e just seen this

It doesn't seem to work when I try it. I tried to find the Global Disaster Assistance by typing in Global Disaster. Didn't work.

It can't find a proposal that isn't on the current list, GT. Seaching on each of the three words brought up only "Global Defense Board". If there is a Global Disaster Assistance proposal in queue right now, I didn't see it.

No, I tried this a while ago, when Global Disaster Assistance was still around. I'll test it again.

If you don't type in the whole name, you may have to click the "Match Whole Words Only" box.

Never mind then.
Edit: Then what is it there for? To search for specific words within the resolution itself?

To search for titles. It's a little twitchy at times, but I could usually coax it into working.

Yeah, that must be it. Cos it seems to be working now.
