Thread Locking

An idea.

Why not offer that ability to the thread starter?

Make it so that if they lock it; it stays locked.

This might cut down on some minor mod requests and if a flamefest hijacking occurs the owner of the thread can decide to kill it.....

Just and idea.

So, it's okay for a thread poster to close a topic simply to quell other posters from pointing out precisely how they're wrong? How... cowardly...

My how judgemental? Did I even say that?

With anything there is the chance for abuse.

Closing a thread should be for whatever reason the thread owner desires.

The fact they can't deal with an arguement is not an issue when considering the activity of the general. It rolls down quick.

If it is a concern they why not delay it for one day?

Then again never mind.

It was only a idea.

We don't have the authority or the ability to change how Jolt's forums work. This isn't going to happen.

No, you didn't, I'm just pointing out that people whine everyday to have threads locked - already - for the very reason I pointed out. This would be abused even more so than it already is exploited.

I do see your point.

Like I said it was only an idea.....
