1. when i look at the list of all regions the first slot on page one has no name but 2816 nations and no un del, what is this
2. whats the deal with all the threads on the last page's of general (600's) that have nothing in them and were creadted on 1-1-1970 at 0100

2: Remember how the old server used to drop topics for no apparent reason, never to be seen again? That's where they went. My guess is that the server hiccoughed during the save, preserving the title but losing the post contents and save dates. That date is the default system date for certain UNIX servers, or so I've heard. You'll find similar collections in all the forums, not just General.

Nobody used the old forums. The old forums used US.

They'd lie there in the weeds, just off the side of the road, just waiting for you to post that cogent response to your political opponent, or some really juicy and succinct roleplay post, then they'd pounce. Taking the entire topic in one mighty bite, they'd sink to the bottom of the forums and slowly, irresistably, digest the tasty morsel until naught was left.

Those topics you saw at the end of the forums? Bones. Nothing but bones ...

*Sigh* I remember the old forum. It was back on nationstates, not jolt. Those days were good. Our only enemy was the occasional noob and the forum itself. We were a close knit group. Back than there were a lot fewer nations.

And I just loved how it took an act of congress just to get a post made... :(

DEAT'ed nations perhaps?

no they stay where they died
and when brougt back they leave that region for laz.

but maybe dead nations from dead regions?

What I mean is the actual Moderator deleted nations, not ones that died of inactivity.

Just a theory though, they may go elsewhere, though admittedly I don't see why they would.

Looking back at it all though, dead nations that died with the region seems more likely. (If one of these are brought back, they come from the region "Unknown")

Its a joke that started with an old game, where you would fall through the texturing... yet not be able to get out, lost within the game. I twas a pain in the ass when games used codes to let you go back to your starting location... before the days of saves

actually, i meant the old server which sometimes made nations appear in the region '00' (just as those 2800+ now) during an update (my puppet had this once)

I was just a young nation when the old forum was around. I never had much trouble on it, but I knew people who did.

Old forums....*mumbles about the annoying irritating problems*

Ahh well, they kept us going that's the main thing.
