UN Withdrawal

I lead an attempted liberation of 0000 Middle Earth 0000 Tonight, since the current delegate had withdrawn from the UN and there was no delegate listed on the region's information screen, so the region was left wide open.

I led about half-a dozen troops in, and I was the endorsement leader

Next thing we know, even though the old delegate was NOT in the UN at all, he could still access regional control and boot us from the region.

Shouldn't withdrawal from the UN mean he forfeits any and all Delegate rights?

I for one, believe he is correct. If you resign from the UN, you should forfeit your regional delegate rights.

I must apologise on Klington's behalf ..... I already had a talk to him on AIM after I noticed he had bumped the post, and asked him not to do it again. He realises the mistake and I doubt it will happen again

unfortunatly, after resigning from the UN, the delegate can still access the regional control till he loses the delegacy in the region...
therefor, always check if a delegate is listed ;)

I'm absolutely positive that he HAD lost delegacy in the region because of his withdrawal from the UN ...... the UN delegate in the region was listed as NONE.

As far as I was concerned, there was no way he could eject us ...

EDIT: There was not even evidence of him being delegate on his nation info, either ... And there had even been a notice in the regional happenings that he had lost delegacy

There must be a game update before they truly lose their delegate powers.

Well, I know that now

I still think it's wierd that he can still use powers as delegate even though he's withdrawn out of the UN

BUT, on the other hand, atleast I know for the future.

This is more of a technical issue than a rules enforcement issue. Hence, iMove http://forums.jolt.co.uk/images/icons/icon2.gif "Technical".

I thought that the code checked for this. I guess not. It'll be taken care of when I have the chance.

One question: Did you ever bother to check and see if that nation was also the founder of the region? That would explain what happened quite succinctly.

Founder: United middle-earth

The delegate in question was Milk Man ...... definitely two completely diff nations
