There is over 10,000 pages of countries on this website, and too many silly regions.

I betcha that at least 3/4 of the countries on this website are not being used and that the same is happening to the regions. I have a proposal, why don't the admins here check out all the unused, inactive nations & regions and just delete them. They are most likely wasting site space where other nations/regions could be that are active.

Each nation files takes up maybe a few kilobytes. A small region is even less.
Empty regions are deleted at the update, and inactive nations are deleted after 28 days.
There are no plans to change this.

It's not up to us to decide what makes a good region name.
And there are usually about 110,000 - 120,000 nations in existance.

Why? They're not causing any harm.

Plus, they're not really dead. If a person doesn't logon within 28 days (or 60 for vacation mode) then their nation dies.

And if noone is present, a region dies. And so NS cleans up after dead/inactive nations.

If someone wants to live all by themselves and login only occassionally, that's their perogative.

Like me, for example I live in my own nation simply to avoid people asking for endorsements and such, however because of this I don't get an endorsement but what does it matter? I don't ask for extra votes, and I am the regions creator so I control it, and the UN delegate has less powers in my region anyhow, so why try to be one?

Oh yeah, by the way, Vigor are you returning to NS or something? I mean you only got three posts in but you seem to know that there is a TON of nations and a lot of regions too, nations is pretty obvious just look at the scores, but regions isn't quite so obvious, unless your moving.

Our current servers are more than capable of handling it all, and this has been the system for a long time. It's nothing new and nothing terribly bad.

Maybe so. I just think that if you delete inactive or plain silly nations/regions then it will make the site much more cleaner. :cool:

Why is this still open?

Inactive nations and regions are automatically deleted by the game.
