Wars already occur, eithers as RP or region invasions. If you want a 'proper' war system, go buy Dawn of War.

Military actions never have and never will be coded into the game, mainly because it would take WAY too long, and it would probably piss some people off.

There are no plans to fundementally change gameplay for NS. This qualifies as a fundemental change.

I nominate the EF empire to write all the necessary code to include a warfare engine for NationStates. Since he deems it so important, then surely he wouldn't mind donating the hundreds of hours necessary to achieve this end.

If you want to experience something similar to war, take a look at the outline of the "Warzone" regions here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=328627). There is a sort of political-warfare system built into NationStates where groups UN-nations can storm a region with the intent of seizing the Delegate position. The Warzone regions are made specially for this purpose.
