What does "TAG" mean? I've seen it a lot.

If a particular player has nothing to say on a particular thread, but wants to note it for later reading or a later post, then he/she will post TAG.

This way, it'll be in the players profile as a subscribed topic and can shortcut back to the thread that was TAG'ed, alternatively, that player can use the search function to look back on that thread.

It basically makes a shortcut so the thread can be found again easily.

*Tag* is redundant in Jolt. Subscribe is better and less obtrusive.

People still use it though.

So, in short, tags are obsolete, and also somewhat rude, as they spam up threads for no discernible gain. So are bumps. You can easily search for threads and even ensure you never have to search for them. So, try to kick the habit, kids.

I know what Menelmacar said, I did read the thread when it was originally posted. I'm just saying I have seen a couple of TAG's recently, whether Menelmacar said to or not.
