Suggestion about how to deal with the current UN resolution

As the proposition is illegal (but got in due to a mod missing it) and a resolution being voted on can't be removed, is it possible for a mod to get rid of it by just adding an insane number of No votes? (999999999 would work)

I don't think that would be the best route to go... simply, because from that point on, those voting against resolutions would insist that the mods may be doing the same thing with one or two votes here or there.

what if they just took a hammer to the server hard drive? that would most certainly remove the current issue...

they can delete it at anytime, the Hippos one and several others were deleted even after they had well over the number of required botes to pass.

The Hippo proposal was still in the proposal queue, and had not yet been placed up for a vote by the full UN.

I believe Anward's UN Lottery was at vote when it was pulled.

Hmmm....do you know approximately when this occured? I've got records of all of the more recent (meaning 2004) resolutions.

Here's your topic (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=309082) from 02/02/04. I'll let you track down Anward's. ;)

My proposal UNLF was deleted hours before it was to be voted on. There was no reason for this to have been done. That proposal did not seek to change game mechanics in any way. It would not have done any more, or any less than any proposal. It is silly to delete my proposal after I have spent literally 6+ hours telegramming delegates, and anwsering questions. My proposal was also on the message board for a week, with no mention of it even coming close to violating game mechanics. I want my proposal to be put up to vote. This is unfair, and I want my proposal voted on, if it is to be defeated, let the members of the UN decide.

The resolution made quorum, but never actually got put up for a vote.

If I remember correctly, in the past, resolutions which were found to blatantly violate the rules after the fact, were deleted by Admin staff. I think. I'm a little hazy on it, it happened a little while before even I noticed.

* Oh, that is once they were on the books ... after they had passed the big open vote.

That might be left to the repeal process now though ...

* shrug *
