Nation(s)

Eh, it's probably been asked before. And I'm probably asking in the wrong place. And I probably already know the answer. But I just had a thought, and I want to make sure.

I know there is no limit to how many nations you can register with. I'm wondering if there's any problems with actually RPing with them all. I've got a few that I already use. I don't really think of them as 'puppets' because I don't really have a 'main' nation, I use them all. And I'll put little descriptions next to them, so you can see how unlikely it is I'd even find an opportunity to have one help the other. If anything, they'd go to war with each other...

Mattikistan -- If I was forced into using the term 'puppets', this would be the closest to the 'main' nation I have. Pacifists who like welfare. They might help the others if they weren't all mine, but obviously as I'm listing them all here, I'd be stupid to do so. That, and it wouldn't be much fun really.

Ghargonia -- A group of aliens based on Earth, rebelling against a larger interstellar empire. Xenophobic, especially against humans. No chance of them helping my nations even if I wanted them to.

Gorkon -- Militaristic. Hate pacifists. Value their armed forces above all else.

Omicron Alpha -- Extreme, very extreme, capitalists. They'd sell you if slavery was legal. They really do value money over their life. They've even privatised the government. You buy shares instead of voting now. They hate public spending, which includes welfare AND the military.

-Bretonia- -- Isolated people based (loosely) on the people of the same name from Freelancer. Only, the Great Barrier surrounds their small holdings completely. Technologically primitive in some areas (ship-mounted engines don't even hit light speed), but advanced in others (jump gates allow instant travel, but require a jump gate at the other end to function).

As you can see they're all radically different (part of the reason I want to use them), so the likelihood of them even being able to help each other is slim. I have a couple of others registered to the forums (a religious culture, which follows ancient Egyptian religion, and a Klingon-based one), but I don't use them here anymore. If I ever did.
I do generally make a point of not posting in a thread if another of my nations already has, unless they don't require direct communication or it's one of those 'list your military capabilities' threads or the like. For example, I won't have more than one of them join a coalition against someone else; war threads they will keep out of (except Mattikistan, who only provides humanitarian aid -- and will not provide it to a 'puppet').
Oh, sometimes in places like General I might forget who I used to speak with last time, but it doesn't really matter in non-RP threads that don't have any bearing on anything, I don't think.
I assume then, that there is no rule against using these for RP in the forum?

There are no rules in NationStates on how to RP. As long as whatever you do doesn't conflict with the Terms of Service, you'll be fine.

OK then, thanks for clearing that up. No, I have no intention of 'pairing them up' or anything like that. Thanks again.

Actually, I believe from elsewhere, and Sirocco's post in this thread that you are allowed, but I have read numerous times, this is frowned upon alot by many.

You can use your puppets cohesively, but you'll most likely be ignored. If they don't interact -- then RP with your puppets as much as you want!

Yes, if you use your multiple nations to give you an advantage in role playing, it is generally frowned upon. But if you use the nations to attack each other, that is acceptable. For instance, if all your nations are ruled by the same president, minister, czar, general, king, etc. and you use Nation A to secceed from Nation B, which causes internal strife (ie: civil war) that is completely acceptable.
