Search function problem

I used to be able to ego-search all of my posts that hadn't been purged.. now when I do an ego-search it only shows 7 pages, 100 results. What's up with that? How can I find my older posts?

Also: posts on the last pages of the forums look like this

under last post. When I click the topic, there's nothing there.

There's always no replies and only 1 view.

All the older posts were purged during the move for some reason or other.

I'm guessing the Jolt search function limits you to a hundred results... we still have many posts from before the move, but it does look they go back to only about the end of 2003... we purged regularly before the move as well.

I don't know what to recommend other than restrict your egosearch with more terms to limit the number of results you'll get back.

But when we first moved to Jolt, I was able to find old posts and view them. Hrm. In fact, I was able to view old posts... at least a week ago or so.

I'm not aware of anything that changed that... looking back randomly through some forums, I can find some things from 2003 still.

With the search function? Perhaps my account is screwed up.

Nah, just going back to pages 20 or so, depending on how many pages total... I did notice that towards the end the thread contents start disappearing. Anyway, I don't think we had a purge since the move, though I could be wrong.

We haven't had a post-move purge.

Also, ever since the search function crashed for a couple weeks after the move, it hasn't been able to find pre-migration posts. They're still there, it's just a matter of slowly digging your way through the forum.

As for the odd "threads" at the end of each forum, I've been told that has something to do with "ghost" posts from when there were numerous double-posts and posts that never went through. Aparently they cropped up after the move. If you'll note, they all have the following time/date stamp: "01-01-1970 1:00 AM", which is about an hour after Unix's "zero time".
