Is it possible to grab a hold of who the most popular nations on NationStates are? Alot of forum junkies are already attention hogs and this way all nations will know about where they stand vis a vis Dossiers they are on. This is just another way for nations that have not submitted numerous issues or have populations greater than 2 billion to get noticed. :)

Does anybody else like this idea?

I don't understand what you're suggesting... d'you want there to be a pre-set number of nations within a dossier at the start of the game of said nations?

I think he wants something that says how many people have you in their dossier?

I have a feeling that it would slow down NS if it was implemented.

No, no, he means a list of the nations who are present in the most dossiers of other players...I think. O_o

As for me, this may be possible in NS2 - the Powers that Be have decreed that there are no major changes for NS1 now - although why give the big nations more attention? They've got enough of it :)

I imagine puppet masters deciding who scores highly on that list, as with more nations they also control more dossiers...

There's no real checking things on a per player basis, and that's the problem here.

Still, I think it would indeed be nice to have a 'fame list' of some sort, but I'm afraid using dossiers won't work.

I don't think there's anything particularly good in the idea. What do we need yet another popularity contest for?
