I use a 40-post page, so that condition doesn't apply. The posts are still out of sequence regardless of page length. Interesting theory, though.

Actually, they're correctly in sequence by timestamp. It's just that the timestamp is off.
Random guess: Jolt is using multiple servers and their clocks are not properly synchronized.

It's happening to a lot of people, Spoffin. There are several comments in random places in General, and a few topics down here already. I suggested (but nobody's responded to) a temporary sticky with a title like:
We know about the Posts-out-of-Order issue already
