My friend made a flag for me to use but its 24 KB. Would anyone know a way to make it 10KB?

I thought the limit was 6KB?
Anyway, if your friend has photoshop or some other decent graphics editor he can use the "Save for Web" function. This compresses the file a good deal, and might get it under the limit.

Send the flag to someone volunteering to help in this (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=345029) thread, and they'll compress it for you.

If you just want to do simple tweaks (shrinking size, adjusting quality, etc), you can try Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com). It's very small, but powerful for its size, and not a bad view program if nothing else. It's really handy, and FREE!
