Used names

I think there should be a list somewhere on the site for public view that lists all names in use and used by dead nations. It would be convenient to new users and old users for reference.

Sound like a good suggestion?

Over 850,000 nations served!

That would be a lot of names to list... Is it not easier to just use the name checker on the Nation Creation Page?

Well, you know, a basic text file. It would be convenient.

Does that 850,000 number include inactive members? 'Cause if not... sheesh...

I think, if you are prepared to read through a file containing more than 850,000 names and their status, then you should be able to. To keep you off the streets :D

You could always Control+F the name you want to find.

I never thought of that :p. But it would be much simpler in the long run (they'd have to keep updating this text file as well! -- And you'd have to keep downloading it!) to do the following:

- Log Out

- Click 'create a new nation'

- Input the name you're after

- Press that link that checks it

And if you're after a live nation, why not use the search option on the World page?

.... ctrl+f would perform the same funtion as the section on the world page where you input a nation name and it takes you to that nation... seriously. bad idea.

This would encourage new players, or even old ones to mimic old players, which isn't really a good idea as far as game rules go. Besides it'll take a while to import all 850,000+ names into a list, and I'm sure the game admin have better things to do with their lives.

I agree with Myrth, the name checkers good.
