Will UN membership and resolutions affect my economy?

Will UN membership have any noticable affect on my nation?

Everytime I try to change my flag, it always says I'm choosing an item too big..does someone know what I'm doing wrong? Keep in mind I'm not all that knowledgeable about computers and stuff.
