This is just a small thought - it may seem pedantic and anal to suggest it - but here goes. Have a look at this display (its all good):

"Rakmaknakkistan is ranked 1st in the region and 12,707th in the world for Largest Manufacturing Sector."

It would be great if it said something slightly more meaningful (and competitive) such as:

"Rakmaknakkistan is ranked 1st out of 8 nations in the region, and 12,707th out of 106,864 nations in the world for Largest Manufacturing Sector."

Placing the total number, especially for the world ranking, puts these numbers in perspective. I can say that I am in the top 15% or so in this area, and in all competitive spirit feel good about it. 12,707 means little otherwise.

Of course we could look at the world page and find out the number and work it out from there, but this would be a slight improvement on that.

Anyway, if anybody thinks this is a good idea, or wants it stabbed to death where it stands, please make some noise for us...

Sounds great. It'd be particularly handy when you're near the bottom (119,549 out of 121,432), to show you're around the bottom 2000 or whatever.

This is one of the most helpful ideas of all. Times and priorities change, of course. But when we first got the ranking lines into our nation profiles someone asked for this same thing and we were told that it was not feasible. But I'd still love to see it implemented if it becomes feasible.

It might be cool to actually have cool information. I'm 16,000,924,321th in the world at something! Whoop-de-doo! Maybe "Roseway is 13,000th out of 100,000 in the world for such-and-such and 5th out of 13 in Neverwhere. Furthermore, Roseway has experienced a GDP increase of 3% and population increase of .5% since the last UN report, and..." Of course that might be too hard for unpaid workers.

An idea unapposed is an idea not properly thought out. It doesn't mean that the idea is actually wrong, just that it hasn't been rigorously explored yet.

And, it's people like you who basically do not add anything substantial to anything in your life. :p
