I have answered a few issues today and this is my summary:

Roads are often backed up with round-the-clock construction crews., the land is famous throughout the region for its rampant lawlessness, fur coats have become the latest fashion trend, and the military frequently holds bake sales to raise funds.

However somewhere here, my government size jumped (from small) to omnipresent and my income tax rose from 19% to 65% !

While I see a little tax increase from the road works, I also see a decrease in the military part. So there is no explanation for a 46 percent change. Also, how can my government size jump up like this with the explicit confirmation of being anarchic ?

Somehow an issue looks to be either miscoded or completely not doing what you'd expect it to do... Can someone clarify this for me ?

Why is my nation so weird?
Everything is exaggerated a little. Well, okay, a lot. Your decisions affect your nation very strongly, so your country might seem like a more extreme version of what you were aiming for. Unless you have radical politics. In which case you probably think nothing's wrong.

My decision had unintended consequences!
Yep, that'll happen. For one thing, see "Why is my nation so weird?" above. For another, pretty much every decision you make will involve a trade-off of some kind. It's kind of an exercise in choosing the best of a bunch of bad options. You might find this frustrating, especially if you're the kind of person who thinks the solutions to all the world's problems are obvious.

Fart Gas: Thanks for the FAQ quote I knew before. The thing is that effect was just so extreme that it does not fit the usual way NS works (and after 1.4 billion people I just might have a LITTLE experience of what usually happens when answering issues).

Now if someone with actual knowledge could please answer the question of whether this is an intentional effect or a bug...
