Well... MEDIUM problems then.

Whenever I try to use smilies by clicking on them my page gets jerked to the top and no smilies appear. Can anyone help?

Whenever I try to use smilies by clicking on them my page gets jerked to the top and no smilies appear. Can anyone help?
Yeah, this happened with me, earlier today. I'm not sure what caused it, but it only happened once for me. :\

In my case, this happened when the page was still loading. Most of the page was already loaded, so I pushed the stop button on my browser, and the smilies worked again (as I recall; it only happened once).

As I'm not sure if this is the cause or solution, my reply is unofficial.

Hmmm...whenever I try to us a smilie from the set provided, it goes to the "Title" line instead of into the text.

The only way I've been able to get a smilie into the text is to get lucky and use the keyboard strokes for one that "translates"

such as: If I type ":", and then immediately without any spaces ")" I get this

:)

or, ";" and then ")" , I get ;)

but some get me nothing, like :/

That's from clicking on the smiley list at the bottom (really, the post icon list) - do you see a list of smileys to the right of your posting window? If so, click the smileys that appear there. If not, then click here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=0&forumid=1224).

Have NO smilies at the right of my posting window.

HOWEVER, if you go to the bottom of the page on which you have a posting window, (or the bottom of the FORUM page), in the little box at the bottom left, click on the line that says:

Smilies are on

and you will get a list of smilies, and what to type to make them appear (the same list that somehow Goobergunchia made magically appear when I click on the "here" he(she?) provides (using the snazy "url" feature).

or my all time fav, :cool:

It does not appear to be that the page is still loading and I can see the smilies in the box at the right hand side. :sniper:
