Greetings,

I am the Armed Republic of Killigan, the delegate for region NRW. I would like to propose the following and i ask that you hear me out before you critisize, priase etc ;)

I think it would better work out if proposals only had to have a majority vote from the delegates. That way more proposals would be approved in the short amount of time given for it having to be approved.

Comments please.

(I'm not quite sure where this is supposed to go so can you move it if it is incorrect?)

Things would work out a lot worse if it took 51% of the UN Delegates to approve a proposal. Currently, you only need 6% of the UN Delegates to approve a proposal (~137 Delegates).
What we really need is a longer window for approving proposals, so that more Delegates get a chance to vote on them.

Oh it is only 6 percent?

Anyways i agree I submitted a proposal a while back and had only about 2 or 3 days till deadline

Plenty of proposals have been approved by the delegates and reached the floor for vote by the General Assembly. What many people percieve as a problem with the current sponsorship program is really a problem in the proposals being offered.

The current window is more than enough time to garner support for an idea that is actually worth the consideration of the United Nations, especially if the proposal has been put forth as a draft in the UN forum. People who expect to drop off a proposal in the queue and have it suddenly up for vote are ignoring the amount of work required to put international policy together. and only fooling themselves.
