Image Limit Question from Klonor

He's having trouble logging in. Apparently I'm a message boy tonight.

My storefront is huge. There's no question about that. It reaches 120 pages on the new forums, and was around 90 on the old one (That was where it added a new page number but continued putting the posts on the same page. It made no sense.). The store itself is huge; the text alone (with no pictures) covers three pages in Microsoft Word. Add in the pictures and we get into the ridiculous. Yet the old forum was fine with the massive picture linking. Not so with the new forums. It seems there is a picture limit on the new forums.

I noticed this when attempting to edit my storefront earlier today; part of the opening text happens to be in the shape of a smiley, and it kinda ruins the whole thing. So, I go to edit it, put in a space so it no longer makes a smiley, and when I click edit I get "this post has crossed the image linking limit". I, of course, hit the back button and did not submit the edit (for fear that it might make some of the pictures disappear), with the result that the damn smiley is still there (I curse you!).

Anyway, I was wondering if there actually is a limit for image linking or if I just got a single error that will not happen again. I would test this, but right now I'm having some trouble logging in (as can be seen by Vernii posting this for me) and can't get to the 'edit' function.

It appears to be 10.

I tested it with my Eh! Steve animated .gif, and it does cap out at 10. I'd leave that test up, but I'd rather not waste my bandwidth on Photobucket.

So only 10 image links per post? Hot damn, that sucks!

Okay, I guess I can find some way around it. Maybe make seperate storefronts for different types of ships. It's not like the 6 I already haven't aren't hard enough to keep track of.

Thanks Hack. Now I at least know that it really is there.
