Updates?
Whats the deal with them these days? Last I heard, the random update thing was only being considered, but it seems to have come into practice already. And it looks like the start time has changed too.
Anyone with info?

The Main Update (new rankings, new UN stuff) seems to happen at around 3am CDT (so... 3.5 hours from the time on this post).
The "random update" stuff, isn't that the update happens at random times, but that the regional updates during the update happen randomly.
Example:
Say my puppet region, That Place Over There, used to update at 03:32:56. And say the whole update lasts from 03:00:00 - 04:05:15. So, instead of always updating at 3:32am, it would update at a random time during that period of a little over an hour, so one day it might be at 03:01:13, and the next day at 04:01:02, and the next at 03:19:34.

It should be a fair bit quicker seeing as this server has (I think) an extra GB of RAM, which makes a lot of difference to a batch-processing job.

I thought that the update stayed at roughly 2hrs long for ages, even though the number of nations and regions increased dramatically.
