An explanation of government types...?

Sorry, all, but I'm new to the forums. I read every now and then, but never posted until now. I'm not sure if this request would go in this fourm...but, here it is. :)

Would someone (one of the game designers, I'm assuming) have written...or be willing to write up a brief description of the gamut of different "types" of government the code spits out....because, seriously, some of them make absolutely NO sense.

Example: "Libertarian Police State" <=== WTF???

"Libertarian" ideals (I happen to be one) are DIAMETRICALLY opposed to the notion of a "Police State". This combination...this "type" of government is impossible...in my understanding.

I really wish this were part of the FAQ.

I don't agree with some of it, and some of the names may have had a better alternate. The amount of NS nations in each category has probably changed a lot since this too.

it somewhat makes sense... somewhat not...

maybe one of the developers could take each one of those and make a basic description.

and definitely: some of the names should be changed.

Look... the idea of this game is fun and showing off Max Barry's writing skills in a semi-comical world that is gone crazy. (The Book). It is not really meant as a responsible simulator of political science.

Libertarian Police State
Libertarian-Centrist-Authoritarian 0.5%

More fully:
Personal freedoms: Libertarian
Economic Freedom: Centrist
Political Freedom: Authoritarian

Basically, you're forcing all your citizens to have a high level of personal freedom, which includes them accepting that others have the same. They do not get a say in how their country is run. They're forced to live the lives of libertarians, and do not get the opportunity to change this if they wished to do so.

That description is infinitely retarded.

#1 - Libertarians want government intervention in personal lives at an absolute MINIMUM.

#2 - Libertarian thought is all about *freedom*... if you are FORCED to do something, you are not free...and therefore, Libertarian ideals are not followed.

Conclusion: This type of government cannot exist.Libertarian Police State
Libertarian-Centrist-Authoritarian 0.5%
