I was unsure before, but now I'm not (Okay, I still am, but please don't pay to much attention). Once a post has been replied to you can't edit it anymore. While I do see the benefits of this (There's no more "I never said that" "Yes you did!" "Oh, yeah? Go look!" "you.......you.......you edited, didn't you! Meanie!") there are many drawbacks (especially for us NS users, who are constantly going back).
People who run storefronts (like myself) are constantly editing their posts for new products and information. My main storefront had nearly 80 edits, and I was planning on a lot more in the future.
We are constantly making spelling and grammar errors which, though tolerable, are still a major irritant. It realy does lower the RP quality when the spelling is bad, and now we can't even change it if we manage to notice it.
Say you just post something which you didn't mean to. Or maybe a sibling came into your room when you were in the bathroom and posted something. Or perhaps you were given incorrect information off NS and then wrote an incorrect post in response.
Frankly, we are so used to our editing ability that we rely upon it and need it. Is the inability to edit replied posts going to be permanent, or just a part of the shakedown for the new forums?
