What happens when the founder is deleted?

The founder of a region has access to the regional password, etc. I am not the regional founder where I reside, and I am wondering what would happen if the founder were to be inactive for 28 days and become nonexistent. Would someone else resume the password responsibilities? If so, who?

Thank you.

The Delegate would automatically gain access to regional controls, including password-protection.

Once a founder is deleted, only the Delegate can access the Regional Controls. People have asked the Mods to swap Founders, and people have failed. It would take the Mods too long to do this for every request.

BTW - This should really have been posted in the Gameplay forum...

No this should be technical…

I was just wondering what would happen if there wasn't a Delegate for that region. :?:

Then whoever gets elected delegate will gain control… Nobody can access regional controls without a delegate or a founder within the region…

Hard cheese on you if the founder dies. It's all a competition for delegate when that happens.

Very hard to convince a moderator to make you founder.

If you do ask for a founder you may end up with a Mod as one

if the regional delegate has the power to ban people, could he ban the founder, or is that impossible? Would the founder lose it's powers? And if he could, what would then happen if the ex-founder is allowed to return, would he then regain his powers or would they be lost forewer.

Btw, I think the founder should have the opportunity to turn of it's own powers if it prefers that only the delegate has power.

Well, the delegate cannot ban the founder, unless the founder is deleted and then revitalized...

ok. thanks

Another thing. Endorsements; do they have to be renewed every day, or do they apply as long as they are not withdrawn.

If they need to be renewed every day, i suggest that that is changed to maybe once a week as not everybody wants to play nationstates everyday and should still have a say in their region.

The endorsements are continuous... They will last until you withdraw them...

One last question: if two nations in a region has the same amount of endorsements, who becomes delegate? What if one of them is already delegate, does he then remain delegate until someone gets more endorsements than him?

Well the UN Delegate can bound the founder, and eject him BUT as the founder can access regional controls from outside the region, he can easily come back in, possibly banning the UN Delegate upon rearrival.

When the founder is out the region, he/she does not lose any power in the region.

Well, the founder loses that power if he/she's deleted... If he/she is then revitalized, he/she won't be able to re-enter the region...

Hey, how does a nation get re-vitalized? I need to get a nation back, which is the founder of a region.

Wrong.

Go to the Getting Help (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=help) page and ask there.

Wanna bet? As long as the nation is still listed as Founder, they can access control upon ressurection.

I thought that if a founder was revived it still had power, though I didnt wana comment on that one.
