Something really strange happened to me now.
My income tax was raised 30% at once. This must be a bug.

No, not a bug, it happens sometimes depending on your issue choices.

Yeah, the tax system is weird,The only way to keep your tax at a realistic level (I.E. - most Real Life Countries, say 20-35%) seems to be to reject anything that would cost money.
I reject most costly issues, yet my tax level is fast approaching 50%!!
This is a bit extreme, surely it should be weighed up against your economy,so your budget can allow for it. :?

I keep my tax levels at "unheard of". When I make some "bad" choices, my tax levels rise to about 10%- and I coult get them down. But 30% raise due to one stupid choice (and one that didn't even had close relationship to tax levels- I voted for building on greenbelts and arrest enviromentalists, not to raise my spending at 30% level!)? I think this is too much. The issue should be removed or at least edited to lower taxraise.

I agree. the tax jumps are way too much- no matter what the issue is, it shouldn't jump 10%+ for one issue -that's crazy!! It should be for every, say 5 issues you agree on which cost money, your tax goes up a couple of points-This is slightly more realistic-I'm not an expert on RL politics, but what sort of government says "If you want us to do anything that costs money,We have to put up taxes right away" :?

Yeah, the newer issues, especially the last two batches, seem to add taxes no matter what option you chose. I just dismiss the majority of them.

Well, building will require your nation to spend money on construction and arresting environmentalists will require police to put time in on the job and for guards, and you might have to build the jails to put them in...
