What ever happened to the "promised" better server
We were promised a better server a while back yet now nothing. Now it is only stopping the more challenging post (like the word game post). If you are promised a thing, it would seem to me that, it would be nice to see it brought through. Has it really all came down to just an issue of money? When for $75 you can purchase a years worth of webspace needed to run even mp3 music? You can find forum space like this game even for free out there. Why then have we seen none of the promised improvements? Just a little ranting from a part-time user of the site (due to full-time use of another).

I blame the military RPers. They all seem to post huge picture files.
I personally wasn't promised a thing. We all were. Or maybe a better way to put things would be: We were led to believe that there was going to be a better server and that the site was going to improve. Instead we have seen more limitations and nothing changed as to the server.
Does that satisfy the literal critics?
I am only asking (in a ranting sort of style). Curiosity may kill felines. I think we are allow a little curiosity around here still. In other words: I don't think there is any danager of deletion for asking about this.

I dont mind the server that much, I spent five hours on a bus from Lucerne to Rome with nothing but a copy of War and Peace, NOTHING CAN BORE ME! AHAHAHAHHAHA!!!

Heh, not quite. Max is currently paying ~$250/month for a dedicated server. Which is puking and dying from the load being pulled. A free server would have no chance in Hell of surviving the amount of data transfered every second of every day by this site.
We are currently waiting for Jolt to finish getting ready for us to move there. Oddly enough, we aren't their only priority, so things take time. If it makes you feel better, we Mods have known about the move for even longer than you have, so we're even more frustrated with the delay.
