I see lot's of other people have photos or flags on there bit, but when I try I can't it will not let me copy a picture on to this. So I would be very grateful if you can tell me. I have a Windows xp, if that makes anything different.

use the [img] tags

EDIT: and i have to add, you have to upload to another server because you cant upload them to the NS server

for another example:

I can help you, Mattivia. Go to any website that has a picture that you want to add to your post on here. Right click on th picture, go to properties. Here you will see a URL. Just highlight, and right click on it. Click on "Copy".

Now go back to your post and add here you insert the URL that you copied by pressing the CTRL (CONTROL) on your keyboard. Hold it down and press v. Now you will have your URL of the picture right after the [img] code.

At the other end of the URL, put an there. This will close it all up. Then just post it. Sorry if it's difficult for you, i wanted to make it easy directions for you.

You will only see the image that is up there, but the actual code was: ""http://www.nationstates.net/images/flags/iraq.jpg""

Don't use the "" Quotations. :lol:

Don't forget, some pictures don't hotlink though. Very annoying when that happens.
