My mind must be softening quicker than I thought, I can't remember how we send private messages to each other! Or is that no longer a function?

Telegrams?
Log into your nation, click onto "The World" link on the sidebar, enter a nation name into the search field at the bottom of the World page which appears, and if it is a valid name, their nation page will appear on the screen, with a box for a telegram at the bottom, and a send button.
Alternatively, log in, go into your telegrams using the link on your nation page, and you can respond to any of the senders of stored telegrams by clicking on their nation name.

PMs (or TMs) are within the NationStates system, click on their nation, view it, scroll down to the bottom of the page and fill in the box. :)

Private messaging in this forum is disabled. You didn't forget it. It just wasn't there in the first place.
In the game it is called TeleGramming. That still woks.
