I thought I posted this but I think the server ate it.

Today after signing on I have discovered my tax rate has gone from 22% to 67%. Over the last day or so, the only issue I took part in was asking for less anarchy. I chose MORE anarchy! I don't recall if my taxes went up then, but that seems to be the most recent catalyst for change in my nation.

Anyone know what's up with this?

It'll happen depending on how many "tax happy" issues you approved.

Based on your other issue effects, it does look like the anarchy issue was your problem. It doesn't make quite a lot of logical sense that your taxes would increase that dramatically, but remember, this is just a game - it doesn't have to and often doesn't make logical sense.

It's difficult to lower taxes without becoming some kind of horrible dictatorship (I've tried countless times), but if you want to do that, it's fairly easy - there are lots of issue which call for less spending.

I guess I'm frustrated because I just managed to attain superb + rights while lowering my taxes from 80% down to 0, and then back up again in moderation. This is just rediculous.
