the url contains spaces (replace with _ )

the tag generally has to end in the type of file it is like .jpg or .gif
You need to find the way it's filed on the page you are pulling it from by either clicking on 'View" then 'View source' and finding the image in the html, or be lazy like me and do google searches for images, click to a page that just has the image and copy that url.
As with anything on this forum, if you see someone do something you want to do, quote them and then look at thier text to figure out how they did it.

to use "img" linking, the immage needs to be on the net on a server that is willing and can aford the added bandwidth overhead that they have to pay for. the fact that many choose not, or are simply unable to do so, does not make them deserving of unpleastness toward them.
img linking always costs someone somewhere something. for this reason, unless the immage is on your own server and it is yourself paying for this use of bandwidth, it is only reasonable to have a little consideration and limit the use of doing so.
now verious bbs softwares do have options that are up to mods/admins to allow impliment that permit uploading directly. these are more often then not not implimented for reasons of storage space.
i don't not know if that option is implimented here. if someone who does know would say and how. that would be of great interest to myself as i have and am able to create immages that i feel would be useful and pertinent, but have not found a place i can img link from to put them. i suspect though that it is not and that if not this is most likely with good reason.
