After I've read a telegram it still shows up as new. Is there anyway we could change this? It get irritating to see the "you have 1 telegram message" when its an old one.

That message means you've one message [read or unread] in your inbox. Delete it if you hate the message.

It would be nice to be able to keep old telegrams and still be able to see wether or not you have a new telegram on your nation's page.
Perhaps their could be a modofication recognising unread telegrams, and displaying 'you have x new telegrams' on the main page in stead of only displaying the notification if any telegram is in the list.
Or maybe an option could be added in the telegram-page, allowing users to 'archive' their telegrams, hence removing them from the list (so there's no notification) but allowing users to browse their old telegrams every once in a while. Surely telegrams don't eat up much server space; a max. useage limit could be set.
Just think this would be a very nice feature, and I'm sure others will agree

If you do not have any new TGs. The words saying "you have 2 telegrams" will be in a 'used' hyperlink colour (light brown)
But if you have new unread TGs, its green...

Unfortunately, this is not guaranteed to be true. Everytime you log off, all links should revert to green (I think).
You could just remember how many TMs you had when you last checked...
