How come on the regular NS site, a new topic is said to have 1 post.

However, on the forums, a new topic is said to have 0 posts.

Gets confusing, can't you just make it 0 posts and leave it at that?

Actually, no: look at the column header. It has 0 replies. Which is true; a new topic isn't replying to anything.
