I apologize if this information is available on the main site. I looked around a bit and couldn't find anything so I just figured I'd ask here. Anyway...

Where can I find the population of my nation?

What else is there to this game besides making decisions and reading the changes those decisions bring about on my nation's description page?

Nevermind about the population. Somehow I missed it the first 5 times I read my description.

New question. How does it usually take for a decision to affect the nation?

Till next game update which I think there is one every 12 hours unlike the UN update which is every 24 hours.

Welcome to the game. :D

Yeah, the UN update comes once every 24 hours...at about 5 am (EST). That updates the entire game, such as regions, the standings, any new delegates, etc. The game update comes every 12 hours, as already said.

Sorry for being too lazy to translate that into GMT. Depending on your settings of how many issues you get a day depends on how many changes your nation will recive from that update.

Any more questions?

Lots of Activities:
1 the "basic game" - as above, answer issues
2 the UN - sort of like issues, but broader and it involves politicing with
other nations.
3 Roleplay - Free form role play, like writting a story. Can be done solo (write up an event in your country, like an election disaster, or war. See the NationStates and International incidents forums.
4 Region invading/crashing - trying to take over a region. See the Gameplay forum.
5 Discussion, debate, sillyness, and other things - see the General forum.

It's not just your description that changes. There are also underlying statistics, that can change things like your economy, your nation's type (I've worked hard to become a left-leaning college state), etc.
