Is there a page on the NationStates site, or anywhere for that matter, that displays the top 100 (50 or however many) regions according to size?

The region directory in the gameplay forum has a list of many of the large regions in the game. I don't know that it neccissarily has the top 100 or the top 50, but it has most of them (and certainly at least the top 10 or 20, you can't get that big without someone noticing :P)

And yes, I occasionally run a script which simply makes a list of the biggest regions.

Since other regions have a different number of nations in them as well, I don't know...

As far as sharing the script, I'll wait until after the move to Jolt to see what the situation will be like, bandwidth-wise. Right now the fewer people run scripts the better ;)

How about adding the option to sort the list of regions by number of nations in addition to alphabetically by nation name?

If so, I'm for it :D

It'd be a great thing, but because of the way the data is stored it is about 100 times easier to sort by name then any other way, so that's all we're likely to get.

I've added it to the Regional Directory thread in Gameplay as I think that's a more appropriate location than this thread in Technical. Probably should've done that initially too.
