Just out of curiousity, does the game even change a nation's economy? Because mine is STILL at imploded.... and either the game has calculated the worst luck for my nation... it hates my nation.... there's a new bug.... or economies don't change.

It changes every time you deal with an issue the difference is made based on what you have chosen

And since you are a UN member your nation is also affected by UN resolutions which are in effect additional issues.
The older a nation the harder it is to change the stats.
Doubly if you've been doing issues regularly.
Triply if you've been at an extreme for a long time.
