Every day my post count is down about 40 posts from where I left it off at. Why the heck?
Hmmm, I think it's likely to be the forum auto-prune kicking in.

when the topics reach a certain age, they are deleted.

There is no "auto-prune"...
It's more likely that you're posting to word game / spam threads and they're being deleted (per General Forum SOP) while you're offline.

Auto-prune is where it deletes topics that haven't been posted to in a certain length of time. I'm fairly sure there's one active in General at least.

It's more likely that you're posting to word game / spam threads and they're being deleted (per General Forum SOP) while you're offline.
Do you mean deleted after they reach the 65 limit or deleted because they are spam. I have posted on word games but not enough to accumulate to what I've lost.

Whenever a thread is deleted, regardless of whether it was auto-pruned or not, posts are lost and the losses effect the total post count. It's nothing to worry about, it just happens. Besides, post counts don't really mean a thing.
