From one flag to the next

Greetings fellow world leaders,

Our national flag has... [ahemhem fuck the roleplay for now, I can't be bothered]

Basically, I've uploaded a natty (read: rubbish) custom flag as a placeholder until I get my new one. I've got my new one now, but trying to upload it either over my old flag or as a replacement to one of the normal flags just doesn't work - I upload the file "arcusiacooper.jpg" and get treated to my old flag (which, for what it's worth, I think was "arcusia.jpg" - and yes, I have tried uploading it with the filename of "arcusia.jpg" :D), which is beginning to rile a bit.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? I can change to standard flags and back to my old flag without a hitch, but trying to upload this second custom is proving slightly troublesome.

Cheers all

The Colony of Arcusia (:P)

Is the new flag under 5500 bytes in size? It says 6kb, but the limit is actually a tad lower.

Also, there might be a caching issue here. Make sure you refresh the page after uploading the flag and clicking 'Update Settings'.

Yep, the flag is 5,164 bytes and I've done the refreshing thing over and over again, but with no joy. Thanks though. :)

Yep. And I'm trying to replace it with this:

Yet it just keeps displaying the old one.

They look pretty much the same to me. Maybe that is why you are having problems getting your "new" one to show up?

Those two look the same to me :?

Maybe it is a caching issue after all?

Yeah - it works now. It'll be bloody NTL, they're notorious for keeping a serverside cache that ruins things like this.

Thanks for the help, anyway :)

After uploading it you usually I think should hit the update settings button, and then if that dont work hit ctrl+F5 (windows)

Kwas out.
