I was looking at the votes on the recent UN forum, and I noticed there were spaces with no nation name (e.g. "...The Farm of Pepperidge[5], Solipsta[9], Dannieland[3], , , , Naval Powers[2]..."). This happened a total of 20 times, 10 in "for" and 10 in "against". So I added up the "against" votes, thinking that maybe it was counting votes from these blank spaces, which I assume are deleted nations or something. The site listed 2649 votes against at the time.
I counted 1336 votes– a pretty serious discrepancy, and not easily accounted for by deleted nations unless they all had about 100 votes each. I added up the votes 4 times and got around the same number each time (1336 the last two times), which is half of what the game seems to be tracking. If the United Nations voting is broken, this could call into question the validity of a lot of resolutions. I sincerely hope that is not the case.
I've posted a screenshot of the votes at the time: http://www.angelfire.com/il2/worldomination/nationstates/votes.pdf
