hmmmmmmmmmmmm?

I wish I knew. We are working as quickly as I can, but it is not entirely within our control.

Supposed to be sometime this month. It'll be up soon enough.

Will this enable the pages to load at at least the speed of a 56.6, or will I have to wait for half a minute on an overloaded server?
EDIT: Getting 12 unavailable pages in a row before one finally loads.

Add some advertisements and buy a server with some bandwidth FFS.

Look around the forums a bit, and you'll see that we are moving to Jolt to resolve these problems. What would be the point otherwise?

every other website in the whole www has ads.... why not nationstates... just small gifs, no flash ads, small gifs would work....

the best thing about nationstates is taht it has no adds. you dont have to waste time with those bloody popups that you get every where else. An you have to remember that this site is, in reality just a big advertisement foer Jennifer Government the book...

Over at Rate Your Music ( http://www.rateyourmusic.com ) the server had a similar problem and needed to be replaced. The Admin there opened a special information board just for this issue, and put * daily updates * there advising everybody just what progress was being made and in how many days the new server was expected to begin testing and finally be online.

Well, May has finally arrived!

Things seem to be working OK tonight but I can't tell if it's due to a new server or not...

Unfortunately, Max doesn't get a penny.
Max does, however, still get the royalties from every copy of Jennifer Government that NationStates helps to sell and doesn't have to dish out $400 a month for hosting.

Yeah I await NS2 just as much as the next guy, but I'm putting it down to the longer the wait, the better the game ;)

Yeah I think it is Jolt - everything seems to run a bit faster and it hasnt crashed yet... but sitll... it possiblywasnt Jolt.
