2 ideas that came to mind to enhance the site are.
a news ticker that runs at the top of the page all you need to do is direct the code to search the forums for updated or new threads and they would become links on the ticker and as it scrolls across it could alert people to any event/thread they would be interested say they are at war and are waiting for the next move or whatever and if they want they click the link and bang at the thread they're interested in.
the next one is just to clean the forums out and remove threads that are old or useless. say old ones that have been addressed several hundred times since they were first posted this should cut down the amount of storage you would require for server storage space and possibly fix any slow speed issues because obviously there are hundreds of pages of threads and many people online at once this site must be slowing down considerably since it was started. 1 way to decide old threads is give them a 1-2 month life span perhaps
