What I hate about searching is the lack of it. One can't search by topic or keyword or anything except by poster. How wrong I think this is!
There are 141 pages of topics in the Technical Forum alone. Without paging through the thousands of pages for all the topics in all the forums, I can't even begin to fathom that this is the first time that someone has complained about this lack of searchability, but since I'm unwilling to spend the next 72 hours on this BB checking to see if there are any more, I'm just blithely posting a new topic that will scroll down in a few days without anyone ever taking it seriously.
Anyone else here who has used phpBB knows that it has more advanced searching capabilities than this BB offers. There can hardly be a downside to making the forums more searchable. The upside: fewer new topics, fewer needless posts, the ability to see if a situation has already been handled; the list goes on, but I'm tired of typing now.
What say? Anyone else here with me?
