Aotomatic IP checks?

Would it be possible to have an ip check built into the UN verification process? The way I see it working would be that every time you activated your UN status in the e-mail, an automatic check would be carried out.
It would have to be at the verification end of things not the sign up otherwise people wouldnt be able to do the "quick-UN-change".

Also related to the UN, after the move to Jolt, will the cached UN applications be increased from 5000? I understand if that cant be answered yet though.

There is a cheat scan, I don't know if it cycles or what but there is one.

The game uses (according to the FAQ) 4 different methods to detect multis. The first two are e-mail addresses and IP addresses, and the last two are <<TOP SECRET>>

I don't quite understand the advantage of what you're suggesting.

The e-mail addresses thing is automatic, the others are mod-o-matic.
IP verifications wouldn't work because AOL sucking as much as it does assigns multiple users the same IP addresses because of its stupid spider proxies.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but for the most part, it's easy to determine if UN multiing is going on in a particular region or between particular nations. At least, that's my experience with dealing with them. They always screw up somewhere, usually sooner rather than later.

That would cause problems with ISPs that use proxy servers, such as AOHell.

For website administrators and IRC hosts, AOL is hell. But on the user aspect, proxy servers are not a bad feature.. good in fact.. makes it safer on the users end

Actually, as a user, proxy servers make me want to punch my ISP's tech staff in the face. Much more trouble than they're worth.

I thought another one is 'log in times' :?

Actually... we've upgraded since that was written. There's more than four methods.
