I just noticed that many if not every nation has shrunk to a population of 5 million.
Is there a reason, has the game be reset or something, or is it just a glitch?

Edit: No, its just the correction for the population bug.....

hopefully there's a backup of all data...otherwise this april fool joke will turn into a bad one :P

If you'll notice on the news page.. Mouse over the "Permanent link to this news item" link under it, and look at the address. It says "...#aprilfools". I think that clears this up pretty well.

I think they aren't custom, but they just changed "senator", "powerbroker" etc. to other stuff, and I think Powerbroker=PK2+

Scene from the streets
Tradgedy struck this morning as on the dawn of a new era of Peace our world was hit by the black plague. Populations over the course of 12 hours droped as People fell dead in the streets, What Was once a bustling nation of 2.5 billion, 1 Infinite Loop has now dropped to less than the Population of our smaller cities. Communication with our sister nations of 2 and 3 infinite Loop have ceased, it is feared that worse has occured there. we have restored communications recently with Infinite Loop and have been notified that the Nekomimi population there has been hardest Hit, with every Nekomimi in the country of formerly more than a billion has fallen.
Cylon engineers are cleaning up as many of the corpses as they can. hopefully they will complete the task within the week, Citizens who survived the night of terror are recommended to not leave their homes, the crews of the battlestars have been ordered to remain onboard their ships as have the crew or Adama station, those brave souls in orbit high above may be our last chance should this disease strike again while we are already Weakened.

What the hell happened to my nation? Did almost all my fellow Vitanians contract Rage?

I suspect a small change in the display_nation script to ignore the population field and spit out 5 million all the time. So presumably the data will still be there. :p

Of course, what would be reallyl funny is if the UN Population report came up today.

Heehee, time to invade my region's Delegate (who formerly had a population of nearly 2.5 billion. :twisted: )

Heck, if this is permanent, it's time to start signing up puppets like crazy.

It would be nice if all nations were back to 5 million. Then those older 2+ billion nations would not be so stuck up high in their might and will have to stop calling smaller nation "stoopid noobie" and such :D

Though I do miss my 350 million people.... :(
