Telegrams?

Hello, new member, really interested in the game and the place. Now, I was wondering about something which doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere and, while it seems obvious, I can't find an answer for.

How do you reply to and/or send telegrams? I'm more than a bit confused on the matter, especially as I was invited to a new region. All help, and humor at my own newbish expense, would be appreciated.

Never mind, I answered my own question - you can't directly reply to a telegram, but by selecting the author's name and scrolling down, you can send a telegram to them.

Still, it's not one of those things immediately noticeable, so maybe it should be added to the FAQ?

Welcome to NationStates! Telegrams sometimes take a little bit of time to figure out...

You have to be logged in as your nation to send telegrams. To send a telegram, you simply go to the nation's page (Spotlight on Nation, has the flag, title, description, etc.) and type in the text box at the bottom of the screen. There are two ways to get to the page:

The harder way: On the sidebar, click on The World. Scroll to the bottom of the page, there should be a search function for nations and for regions. Search for the nation name without the prefix (I.e, not Federal Republic of Konania, just konania). It will take you to the nation's page.

The quick way to -reply- to a telegram is to click on any link that has a nation's name in it-- on your telegrams page, most telegrams will include a link to the page of the sender (the exceptions are the welcome telegram, UN telegrams, and some other administrative stuff). Just click on that link and you're at the nation's page. The telegram box is at the bottom of the page.
