LIKE HOW MUCH MONEY YOU HAVE TO BUY WEAPONS TANKS OR WHAT EVER.

OR HOW MUCH ARMY NAVY OR AIRFORCE YOU HAVE AT CURRENT TIME WITHOUT BUYING ANYTHING YET

TO ALOT OF YOU IM PROB JUST A NEWBIE..BUT I REALLY WANT TO LEARN SO I CAN HAVE FUN

As far as buying stuff, it's based on your economy. If you have a good economy, you can buy a lot of stuff, if you have a crappy economy, you can't. And army size is based on that as well as population, etc. I'm pretty new to this too, but that would be my understanding of the game.

Just keep it realistic. Don't go out and buy ten-zillion of something and pretend you have so much that you're unbeatable: people get pissed :wink:

It might also be good to open negotiations with a nation so you have an "ally" with a large "army" to protect you while you build yours up.

There are also numerous calculators around which will calculate your budget, GDP etc for you.

how do i upgrade somthing(like men)i was told i have roughly 100,000 poorly trained men

when i buy somthing(say i spend 100 million on f-16s,will that get taken off me,or do i still have that,if you know what i mean)

how do i work out what i have already in my militry without buying anything

It's all role-play. Basically make pretend, only with numbers, stats, and all that stuff. As it has been pointed out already, just be realistic and you'll be ok. :)

I'd recommend hanging out in NationStates forum, and International Incidents forum to get the hang of how things work, and see how they're done.

Just use your imagination, but keep things reasonable.
It helps to read the stickies in the Nationstates and International Incidents forums.

People get... testy. I don't say that out of experience though, just knowledge.

Another thing: I would recommend role-playing in a more private forum, like a regional forum or something, as II and the NS forums have many n00bs who don't ask questions and just go with the above phrase. Besides that, the NS servers were forged by Satan. Go with a small, dependable server elsewhere.
